​A compelling "Autism by Pitocin abuse" story

​Like any typical autism parent, I was for a long  time, confounded by why my 2 boys fell into the Autism Spectrum . Other autism parents I came to know through school and therapy places were in a similar situation. The world almost had me convinced there was some genetic damage that happened in my generation, considering we had no history of genetic disorders on either side of the family. People even told me it typically happened to  intelligent parents. My wife and I are both college educated, so people who knew our background, told us so, but I could never bring myself around to believing it and there was always a doubt in the back of my mind that this was something else. A breakthrough came, when a neurologist we had consulted for my second boy ordered an MRI scan. The results showed traumatic brain damage deep within the brain. This was damage that could have happened only during birth when a baby makes its way out of its mother head first. That rocked my world like nothing else had ever done before.

​I realized I had finally uncovered the truth about the  cause of my kids' autism. And it was not just about me and my family but something that applied to the entire autism community all over the world. It lead me to write this book to make the world aware of a malpractice that has remained hidden for decades. In the book I outline the scientific and common sense reasons that have allowed such a malpractice to  remain hidden for as long as it has. I have also founded a non-profit "Autism Parent Initiative" with the purpose of providing proof that might bring closure to parents impacted like me and refocus research onto brain damage recovery.
​This book "Autism Answers and Action" was born out of the need to clarify the situation for most parents who have bought into the "Nobody knows what causes Autism" thesis which invariably ends in fingers being pointed at genetics. This is farther from the truth by a million miles. And the proof is straight forward. Many kids recover or heal from autism as they grow up, some recover with early intervention. Genetic diseases don't just heal and go away, at least not without gene therapy. What you recover or heal from is called an injury. And it always is  a birth injury. There could sometimes be hypoxic(lack of oxygen) injury that could happen at birth, but traumatic injury is always due to birth interventions at the hospital.

A more detailed discussion of the consequences of brain damage which include the above effects observed by parents is provided in the Autism Answers & Action book. I realized that all this while already borne out by research in bits and pieces has not been put together in a coherent explanation for the causes of Autism. Any good research relies on data. My own book relies on data I collected based on conversations with other impacted parents. But this is still considered a small dataset and so I got together with some similarly impacted parents and launched a research non profit called the  Autism Parents Initiative. 
The objective of the Autism PI is a data collection initiative that will help establish all the pathways to autism and also enable legal discovery in cases of medical malpractice. The section below is directly from the autismpi.org website.

​​The Great Autism Data Collection  at Autism PI Org

AutismPI.org is engaged in Autism data collection along two different tracks. One track is autism caused by traumatic brain injury at birth by Pitocin abuse malpractice that we are calling aumalism above and the second track being predominantly hypoxic-ischemic brain injury(lack of oxygen) due to conditions we are calling Aupartism and Augestism above. These two tracks are expected to have had slightly different effects in the brain and seem to have slight differences in symptoms. The response to treatments in these two tracks also seems to differ slightly.
The traumatic injury by Pitocin abuse track also involves a legal angle as the argument of Pitocin injury gets written off as lacking evidence. This data collection initiative aims to establish profiles of Pitocin abuse grouping cases by obstetrician, hospital and induction time.

My Autism credentials?

My background makes me sound like an unlikely source of answers to the autism question that has apparently confounded experts for decades. However, if you have read my book, you probably know why. I make a living working as a Software Engineer in the US. I hold a Masters Degree from a US university in Engineering and Computer science. I do have to say, I always had an interest in biotechnology, genetic engineering etc., to a point where I took graduate level coursework in diverse areas like Bio-informatics, molecular modeling, computational chemistry and such, during my college years. Having been through graduate school I also understand the dynamics of the scientific process, publishing research papers and research thesis. When I talk to people about autism, many drop the obvious question asking if I am a physician, perhaps due to disbelief, as they hear things that they haven't heard from their own doctors. But unfortunately many doctors haven't thought through the subject the way I have. I believe as someone closely impacted by the autism condition, and being a close observer of my kids throughout their life, right from pregnancy and birth, certainly makes me look at things from a more wholistic perspective vs what current autism research and contemporary science is trained to look at. It is that unique qualification exclusive to autism parents. There are quite a few doctors that accept my point of view and I will add excerpts from them here, in future.
Observation is the basis for all science. All I have done is put two and two together to establish the connection between multiple disciplines to explain my observations and that of other parents in a similar situation. I work in data analytics as a software engineer. Doctors, scientists, government all base their conclusions on data. That is one reason I believe nobody can really argue or discount the conclusions I have come up with in my book. When it comes to doctors, unfortunately neurodevelopmental disorders fall between the fields of Obstetrics and Pediatrics and as a general rule doctors don't blame other doctors, so its not surprising that these answers come from me a software engineer and autism parent, rather than a medical doctor. Its an answer that can only be brought out by an autism parent. You will understand the truth to the story when you read the book, its the proof you have been waiting for all these years.
